Wow! This puts a whole other perspective on the life of a monk, a modern-day monk. Although not a surfer, living in South Florida I can really appreciate the parallels between the ocean and entering into deeper space within. Awesome job!

I found the film completely riveting - I love the concept of surfing and meditation as a metaphor for life's challenges, and the cast of everyday real people telling their story so simply was captivating. as a swimmer the one thing that thrills me most is the ocean. The infinite expanse, the vastness, the unknown, the power,... in a way a perfect match with the term monk. As a monk one strives for, one aspires to reach the infinite expanse of consciousness, which the ocean embodies. So I cannot think of any more perfect symbiosis than that of ocean and monk. Thank you for the beautiful work! It is sublime, elevating, inspiring and deep.
