A Documentary tells the story of fulfillment through life, death and stand-up comedy.

Synopsis

A Documentary features a series of stand-up comics in various stages of their dream’s pursuit. From the professional comic, Jimmy Shubert (Go, Coyote Ugly, One Hour Photo) who reflects on being a national headliner to the seasoned veteran, Hope Colt, who offers the wisdom of ‘just doing what you love'. Intertwined in the story, May follows a person to their death and the reflections and emotions facing your mortality. These two seemingly unrelated stories come together at the end to tie the ultimate message that life is too short so fulfill your dreams.

Director's Statement

Are you fulfilled?

The most fundamental question of our existence yet the most taboo of subjects. Whether you like the movie or not, I hope it forces you to ask yourself the question of your life.
