SynopsisRural Missouri, present day. A stranger named Chip walks into a small town; his background unclear. After befriending Kent, a recovering alcoholic, with a wife and daughter down south, Chip gets hired on with him at a local farm. But things take a serious turn when Chip discovers Kent's affair with the bosses wife, Barb. After leaking the story to a fellow worker, both find themselves thrown off the farm. Denying his telling of the affair, Chip persuades Kent to drive them both to Bethany, MO, where an alleged job waits. Not able to return home jobless, Kent agrees and the two drifters hit the road only to very quickly find themselves lost and low on gas. What lies ahead is completely unforeseeable to them both.
