BLOOD MAKES NOISE

A dark comedy-suspense about a successful writer/director who suggests brunch on her patio but little do her four guests realize that before noon the patio will be stained with their blood.

SYNOPSIS
Returning a day early Frankie looks round her new house for her boyfriend. Instead she finds evidence of his infidelity.
The next morning she wakes to crime tape stretched across her next door neighbor’s front yard and the unexpected arrival of her Realtor. A pest exterminator surprises them both followed by a welcoming neighbor and the missing boyfriend.
Everyone is shocked to learn the next door neighbor was a kiddie porn producer and the latest victim of a vigilante serial killer.
Frankie suggests brunch on the patio but little does anyone know that before noon the patio will become stained with their blood.
My goal with BMN was to showcase my talents as a storyteller by making the first 12 minutes of the film virtually without dialogue and to create a suspenseful atmosphere in the perceived safety of daylight. The short was also designed as a calling card to create interest in the follow up feature film titled Gabriel's Justice

The production was shot in 4 days in Los Angeles. Australian action star Richard Norton choreographed the action and Drew Struzan, the world's most prolific movie poster artist lent his extraordinary talents and his art to the production. He even has a role in the film.
