Some ties cannot be broken.
SynopsisOn the short drive from the bus stop to his house, Jared learns that his older brother Kief has fallen onto hard times, but Kief remains unwavering in his determination to bring his little brother home.
Director's StatementWhen Matt Tyler, my writer and producer, showed me the script for "Brotherhood", I was immediately drawn to the dynamic relationship between the two brothers. I began reflecting on that inevitable moment when I realized that my older brother was, in fact, fallible. Over time, this script began to feel very personal to me and I knew that I had to direct it.
For me, "Brotherhood" is about the loss of a hero. While the story has a number of highly dramatic moments, I find myself equally moved by the comedic ones. The relationship between these brothers just feels genuine. I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to direct this film, and I’m equally grateful that I found an artistic collaborator in Matt.
