Kimmo Sampi is a flute player in the band of The Nordic Allied Forces fighting with the remains of a rebel movement somewhere in the Eastern Europe. He's torn apart by the fact that he just found out that his wife is pregnant for another man. Kimmo's ill use of medicine Doesn't help the situation either. Just two days before he would get home from the war, he gets his first assignment outside the camp. He sets out to drive seaman Holkki to another camp, but the journey becomes more than that, a battle which tests the men both physically and above all mentally.
