As a couple ventures in a trip to the countryside, they become the target of a serial killer

Synopsis

A couple hits the road for a weekend getaway, hoping to restore their malfunctioning marriage. On their way they belief that this is the weekend that they will get to enjoy each other without interruptions. Their hope, however, turns into despair when the most desired getaway soon becomes a fight for survival as the couple is taken hostage by a psychotic serial killer. However, they are not alone in this nightmare but they will soon find out that this can easily change. Now more than ever, they will require each others strength and love to find a way to escape.

Director's Statement

I believe Fractured Minds is a film that "has more than what meets the eye". The film is not a piece only about survival and gore, but a film that inspires teamwork and compassion. Almost every single character that dies in the film dies for the sole purpose of being compassionate. I believe that the power of love and tolerance in the end saves us all as human beings, for there is no bigger threat to human kind than humans themselves. Thus, this is what inspires the film for me. It is not people or ghosts necessarily what really frightens me, but what the mind conspires against the heart and soul of every human being.
