Synopsis

"CDI is the future of the Horror Film; solid acting driven along rain slick highways of storytelling. We meet the characters and then power shift straight into the plot. Hairpin turns at high velocity"

When young Arthur is handed a mysterious comic book on Halloween night, little does he know that its hold on him will blur the lines of reality that have kept him blissfully ignorant of the danger our sister planet presents. In the comic book world, fate takes over the lives of military overachiever Franklin Mayfair, and his side-kick Russ Preston as they struggle to rescue Russ' niece who has been taken into the fold of a dangerous cult. What Frank and Russ discover is far more BIZARRE than anything their simple minds could have ever imagined. A SciFi spoof...part Ed Wood...part Tim Burton

ABOUT THE PRODUCTION... (and the haunted house)

The most interesting aspect of production included the old manor house that would be the cults stronghold is that it had been a stop on the underground railroad. Beneath the spiral staircase is a secret cellar and a stoned up escape tunnel that led to the old stage coach carriage house, now the garage. The house was said to be haunted by the ghost of a pregnant run away slave girl who had died during a complicated child birth in the upper bath room. Day one had 4 actors on two separate occasions flee the upstairs bathroom that we had assigned as the hair and make-up room despite the fact we had decided to keep our little story under wraps. A film shoot has enough problems without playing to the superstitious nature of people.
