‘Infinite Moments’ is a powerful short film about a young woman dealing with the trauma of being raped. The audience watches how after the attack she finds her power and strength and her own way of fighting back against the rapist.

Every year approximately 132,000 women in the United States reported that they have been victims of rape or attempted rape. It's estimated that two to six times that many women are raped, but do not report it.

In ‘Infinite Moments’ a woman journey’s back in her mind to the night she was raped during a self defense class. I loved the power and intensity brought to the screen by going back and forth between, her learning martial arts and then having to bring everything she learned to practice as she is being attacked again.

It is so easy to let fear take over when we are in these horrible situations. Our minds go blank and our animalistic behavior to survive comes through. But to be able to take that fear with some sort of control and use it against what you’re afraid of, is a powerful tool.

The audience is able to journey with our lead character, while she not only finds her empowerment through training but takes back her power when being attacked. She may not have been able to take down the rapist the first time, but now she knows that she will never give up her power again. Your power is only something that you give away, it can not be taken.

Through all natural sounds and quick editing, I wanted to bring the grittiness and rawness of everything to the surface.

‘Infinite Moments’ is a way of helping people to reach inside them and find their strength. It is incredibly important that no matter whether someone is 5 feet or 6 feet tall, they are able to stand up and protect themselves showing they are not defenseless. Through the techniques of martial arts a person can gain an inner power that towers over strength and size.

Ultimately I hope to inspire everyone, including those who have been attacked, abused physically and mentally to believe in the promise that through taking action to protect themselves they will go down fighting before they will let someone hurt them again.
