Doctors Turned Nurses

The Philippines is the top exporter of nurses; in the United States, close to half of all foreign nurses are Filipinos. But while this has been an on and off trend since the end of the second World War, there is a new phenomenon borne out of this rising global demand for nurses. Filipino doctors are now opting to become nurses, and they're leaving the country by the thousands. The documentary tells the story of doctors who have decided to take the nursing path, and how their choice is affecting the Philippines' health care.
