A story of grieving hearts and delusion

Since the death of their child, Griz and Regan have become estranged. Griz grows suspicious of Regan's way of grieving, venturing outside the matrimonial bond. Riddled with his own guilt, Griz is propelled to act, only to be ensnared in a scheme far worse than he could have imagined.

I have always been fascinated by people's power to self-delude. In this story Regan the wife of Griz, carries all the weight of the plot. whether madness or self-protection, her pain is real. And her husband, who distrusts is own self and is riddled with guilt, ends up paying a dear price for their situation. When lightning strikes, it must find a target. This is inevitable.
