Director's Statement:

Combining the psychological tumult of "Memento", the futuristic bleakness of "Blade Runner" and the decadent comedy of "Fight Club", "Proinhibition" exposes the venality of the big-time liquor industry. At the same time it pokes fun at the mores and weaknesses of Alcoholics Anonymous, addressing the need for innovation in our necessary but far too antiquated rehabilitation programs. John Ervin"s "Proinhibiton" is a must-see for those struggling with an addiction. See it with someone you love ... or at the very least with your favorite narcotic or adult beverage!

"Mr. Ervin, I received several complaints from the tenants of my building, including one woman who was badly shaken when she walked into the women's rest room and found two of the actresses shooting up."

A hot night in a Minneapolis warehouse in June, 2003. The crew of "Proinhibition" are filming ten leather-clad men and women hurling whips at Fiacre Douglas, playing Dr. Rich S. And two of the women are zonked out of their skulls on heroin!

As the building's owner reported to me two days later, an old Swedish woman, who ran a bakery in the same building, had walked in on these actresses mainlining in the rest room. The possibility that it was insulin being used was dismissed by the fact that, when the Swede entered, the Americans exhibited an alarm worthy of felons caught in police headlights. The old baker, hoping to walk out alive, merely smiled and went about her business in the stall. The young ladies, hoping she was a moron, completed their business by the sink.
