Director's StatementThe idea was to render the theory of karma in a very simple film. I let the concept develop in me for sometime till the form of the film struck me. I realized that I'm trying to give a mathematical logic to the seemingly absurd human life. I'm talking about the theory of karma, after all. I decided that the whole story should be shot in one shot. So the characters in the original concept had to be changed as per the locations available around the principle location - my house! The message was quite simple, generalized and positivist in nature. What goes around comes around. However common it may sound, it is one magical nature of reality in my opinion. I wanted the same magic to reflect in the otherwise very naturalistic setup. It was Mitesh Shah who eventually came up with the idea of giving equal footage to the other cycle as well. We gave ourselves one month of pre-production time after I managed to get a personal loan to make the film. In that one month, we chose locations, shifting them per the availability and the willingness of my neighbors to help. We got our cast ready with actors mainly from a theatre background. We rehearsed at my place and on the locations, whenever possible. We did two grand run-throughs of both the sequences two days before the day of the shoot. We shot for two days. For the next twenty days, we did our music and the rest of post-production. The making of this film has become the most unforgettable experience of my life.
