The first 9/11 movie. The screenplay for the film was completed just three months after the 9/11 attacks. "Stairwell" went into production in March of 2002 and was completed July 2 2002. Parisen was villanized for attempting to make a film about the World Trade Center disaster so soon after 9/11, however after the film was released "Stairwell" was well received getting no less than three stars and being praised by some of the same critics who attacked the film while it was in production. "Stairwell" received attention from newspapers and television stations around the world which declared it to be the first 9/11 movie in production.
