The Commune: A New Cult Classic
91 minutes Comedy / Horror / Thrillers / Female Filmmakers / IndieFlix Official Selections
Every girl's worst fear
Intended Audience: Mature
When Jenny Cross has to spend summer vacation with deadbeat dad on his creepy commune, she thinks clean living and boredom will kill her. But some fates are worse than death. "A great first film" -The Huffington Post "Recalls the golden age of 1970s filmmaking" -Horror Society
It was my goal to make disturbing thriller/horror movie where we really cared about the lead character and the awful things that happen to her. I studied DON'T LOOK NOW, THE WICKER MAN, and other cerebral classics of the 1970s and made every effort to have great performance and characterizations that illuminate the dark recesses of the human psyche take the place of cheap, stakeless gore. Hope you enjoy, and that the love story breaks your heart! xo-Lis Fies
