The Victim
12 minutes Drama / IndieFlix Official Selections / Love Stinks
Two people meet in a late night bar, one of them is not seeing straight.
Intended Audience: Mature
She's the bar floozy, he's the stranger. She tries to pick him up but for some reason, he's not game. Stars Oscar nominee David Strathairn (Good Night, Good Luck)and Tony award winner Patti LuPone.
Not to put too heavy a spin on it, I think that sometimes anger, a desire for vengeance, an inability to forgive, can blind us. When I wrote this little film I thought it was more a joke than a drama. But when the actors read their parts in the first read-through, there was a sadness that came through. In the editing we built on that.
These two actors were a dream to work with.
