I remember Mrs. Brown with much love. Although I am not family, she always made me feel at home as if I were part of the family. She was most interesting to talk to and her warm hospitality & kindness will be something I will miss and I will carry her memory forever in my heart. With much respect and a heavy heart, Love, Laura

Synopsis

Artist Eleanor Brown's life came to a crashing halt nearly 20 years ago following a near-fatal plane accident, which not only took her eye and husband of 42 years, but her confidence and zest for life.

through singing and taught herself to paint once more - and better than ever before.

Director's Statement

I was instantly drawn to making this documentary, and so inspired by someone like Eleanor Brown who, in her 80's, could pick herself up and decide to do something she always loved after giving it up after such a terrible loss. It made reminded me that you create your own reality, and that your dreams can happen if you just focus on the positive and remain persistent no matter what happens.

This documentary was shot over three days on location in Eleanor Brown's ranch home in Montebello, California. AN interesting note is that the music for the film was composed more than 3 years before the film was made, and fit perfectly with this final cut with no adjustments needed.
