Vixen Highway 2006: It Came from Uranus! (2010)
165 minutes Action & Adventure / Cult / Horror / Sci-Fi & Fantasy
Killer fugitives:Severa,Loretta & Fiona (the buxom, homicidal female Vixen Gang), a crack zombie & a demonic Star Beast wreak havoc all over Mid-West America. Hero Detective Divine Otaku has to investigate; but, will the sexy hunter become the hunted?
Intended Audience: Mature
Vixen Highway 2006: It Came from Uranus!(2010) is an updated homage to 60's and 70's 'genre' B-movies & a re-imaging, re-regurgitation and semi-sequel to John Ervin's original 'Vixen Gang' 2001 Russ Meyer bad-girl homage: 'Vixen Highway'; by Canadian exploitation schlock-meisters/actors: Tony 'Tex' Watt (Frankenpimp, Sinners & Saints, Awakening [aka Zombie Night 2], Reel Zombies, Acid Head) & Vivita (Frankenpimp, Acid Head). This motion picture is a Faustian-tale, which takes place in Minnesota where the ailing, egotistical and sexually perverted rock-star Bobby Barzell (who sold his soul for wealth and rock and roll stardom) awaits a liver transplant from a psychotic fugitive of the law; as a vengeful, demonic alien tries to collect a past debt. This multi-genre feature is chock-full of Blood, Breasts, Bullets and Beasts ... an interstate, interplanetary menagerie of bad-assery!

- 1/ (Doctor Frank N. Stein) WHAT WAS THE INFLUENCE FOR YOUR MOVIE?
(Tony Watt)
A: Bunny Yeager's Bettie Page pix , Russ Meyer [of course] Doris Wishman's girlie movies, Comic Books, Benny Hill, Classic Bond girls[Especially for the actress Vivita's white-jumpsuit role as Lady Ilham..I consider her a new Sophia Loren/Ursula Andress-type actress, that could act for decades], Playboy Magazine, Famous Monsters of Filmland & Fangoria Magazine...All movies: mainstream ,cults, exploitation, AiP, B&W & classics, Hammer, European Erotica, Classic porn (especially ones from the 1960's-'70's; when they actually had stories..as you cannot buy nostalgia enough, baby!)...This movie [like my first 'feature film' FRANKENPIMP], I chose the retro-future 60's-70's Sci-Fi, Horror,Fantasy, Erotic Thriller themes , because modern thrillers [not too many specialized wardrobe or props], erotic movies [skimpy or no wardrobe...especially the ladies, who's nude bodies sell tickets or DvD units, very well],Low-budget B-Horror/Sci-Fi/Fantasy combined, are the cheapest, fun and most forgiving movies to shoot [though they take longer, because of special effects and costumes].
People will forgive my cinematic projects for poor acting, or cheap costuming ; but WILL complain when movies of my chosen genre has no NUDITY.
In the rest of the world, the audience loves sex..in North America, we like the violent elements of movies, for some reason.
So, I give my audience (and myself) what they/I want to see...also I write what I know, so I research my subjects a lot...especially the sexy ladies [LOL...kidding..well,'half']...no kidding; I love strong , sexy kickass women in my movies!..Watch them, you will see!..oh, and to finish answering your question co-writer John Ervin & I used to trade obscure VHS movie titles, earlier in our professional relationship...he digs the same movies I do & Vixen Highway 2006:It Came from Uranus was inspired by his earlier movie Vixen Highway (2001)..oh and John if you are reading this; add Duke Mitchell's stuff to the collection
-2/WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE MAKER(S)?/ WHY?
A:
The first (Frankenpimp screening) interview we had, I said 'me', to be a jackass [I meant my personal cinematic inspirations combined, because I'm influenced by people who's artistic cinematic work(s) I steal from...er..'homage']..I mentioned a few moviemakers earlier...but realistically speaking, it could be Jerry Lewis or Chaplin; or [for my kinda film-making style] anything from Debbie Does Dallas to Troma, Anime to Warner Bros. Cartoon shorts, Cheech & Chong to Monty Python, Martial Arts movies to the Disney Team's 'Bald Mountain Segment' in Fantasia (1940)[..of whom it was reported, used Bela Lugosi as an action model for the mountain demon..Bela became one of my fave actors, after I found THAT out..huge fan of his theatrical performances..."PULL DA STEENGS..PULL DA STREENGS!!!"]..HA HA
-3/WHO IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE MOVIE MAKER?
A:
It could be the same ones I said I admired...some have made real clunkers...
there is no clear way of making a 'hit' movie [or a 'decent' one, for that matter...it's all instinct and guessing games] & none of us filmmakers [big & small] know what the hell we are doing [though most pretend they do];
That being said...I would first like to say that the theory that you [or anyone] can make a better movie, if you throw money at it is: false...you just have a big shitty movie ['Pluto Nash' anyone?].
Also a badly executed low budget movie is just a shitty low-budget movie [usually most].
-4/WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE ACTOR(S)?
A:
Too many to mention...most classic movie actors....but for the purpose of my role as 'Tony' in VH06:ICFU ...I was inspired by most of the '70's leading Italian-American actors...with a sprinkling of Andrew Dice Clay..as far as new actors, I'm biased towards indie actors;off the top of my head; Canada's Vivita, James Taggart, Deanna Prall, Angela Faulkner, Amabelle Singson, Chris Kerley , Ashleigh Garbatt, Elvin Domenic, Sean Browning, Mandi Jayne Strange [all who appears in Vixen Highway 2006, no less], Ronnie Basch, Jason & Brett Butler [the Brother Team who appears in Frankenpimp(2009) ] , Lewis Mercer, Mike Burry&young Luke Van Belkom [who's appearing in my Acid head (2011) movie; as well as...uh... Eric Scealf (an undiscovered Southern treasure ) from America...who is a great artist & a cultured Southern gentleman, above all else... & John Ervin, from the mid-west!..Oh speaking of Playboy; a lot of folks think the bunnies are dim, but I'd like to say, the couple I've had in my movies , Lana Tailor (Acid Head [2011])& Alyssa Nicole Pallett (Frankenpimp [2009 & Vixen Highway 2006 (2010)], were very, very sharp [or, is the word: crafty, ha ha] ...if I missed out on anyone else...Fuck ya [laughs].
-5/WHO IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE ACTOR?/ WHY?
A:
Realistically...asshole actors who I've worked with on-set...they won't know this;'cos I'll never talk to, or do another project with them..this goes for crew as well...like Don Corleone says, never let 'em know what you're thinkin'
-6/WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE(s)?/ WHY?
A:
Realistically... I like 'em all...genres that I dig?...
I hate labeling movies or people for that matter...it's limiting....for instance...I hate saying I'm a b-movie filmmaker...I'm a filmmaker..period!
My style is: Tony Watt.
I make horror movies & my little sister swears I'm Satanic!
For the record..I'm a good Ol' Christian-boy, alright?..And danged proud of it,I must say!...Satanists can fuck off!..or if they are cute Ol' gals; Fuck "me"...then: fuck "off" [laughs]...
Now, back to B-movies.. I'm a fantasist.
I personally make 'similar fashioned' amalgamations of low-budget 'exploitation' movies that I like...my way
Meaning, as well, that not only that I go for movies that I like(as inspiration)..but, also ones that could be made from my 'own' money....keeping THE MAN' off my back, ya dig?...
You see, genre, or b-movies are very 'basic' & 'primal' and go for 'extreme' emotions to grab that sort of audience....who needs good taste when ya can make it taste good?
Big monster movies, Blaxploitation movies, Erotic movies fit this..they also have excellent posters/dvd/cassette cases, that draws you to them (unlike romantic-comedy ones..LOL..they look like catalogue covers..yuck!), because it's the b- 'genre' or 'subject' that grabs you, not a personality, or a 'star'.
A great example is the horrific poster for 'Jaws'; which is basically a B-movie poster, but made with a high budget..it has an amazing monster & a sexy lady & bingo: asses in seats [Jaws is also known as the first real Big-Buget B-movie].
I'd also like to clarify to film-lovers [da kids] that in the old days [theatrical] movies had short subjects, news, cartoons and a lower budget movie that opened and came on before the 'feature' [or 'A' movie?]; these movies were called 'B-movies'.
Nowadays, low-budget movies [usually not made by the big mainstream studios like Sony, Warners, Universal.. etc.] are known as the modern' B-movie', or 'independents' (aka 'Indies').
If you go to the theater...you can see most moneymakers are Big Budget versions of the B-movie...So, rawk on, little digi-filmmaker...But, make it good, Bwah!!!
-7/WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE MOVIE(s)?/ WHY?
A: I hate shit, teethless movies, scripted by corporate yes-men to sell video-games or action figures...which is basically a screenplay starting out, thay symbolizes a beautiful, muscular, ARABIAN HORSE [when it's scripted by a true screenwriter], that becomes a bloated CAMEL , after the bean-counter/propeller-head committee gets through with it...this is why the French developed the 'auteur' theory..
Could you imagine Da Vinci being told to airbrush Mona Lisa's smile?...Nat King Cole would have nothing to sing about...I may be wrong; but; the money-men should trust the writers they hire & stop treating screenwriters like bitches.
Screenwriters put we filmmakers to work..
That's why I like writing my own movies.
No screenplay, no work...no work...no movies.
That being said...indulgent writers/directors should try to stay within the fucking budget.
-8/What is your favorite movie genre(s)?/ Why?
A:
Exploitation movies.... When there is low budgets...creativity is turned up high!..so's the excitement...it's the difference between seeing a t.v. sitcom at home & seeing good live stand up comedy..one thing about mainstream [my opinion]..if you create something for the masses...it's gonna lack spice & color...dumbed way down, Man!
This is why I recently decided to give up regular cable and stick to watching dvd's and dvd special features [as well as t.v. production in general]..I hate commitees...it's the difference between a (good) book, or People magazine..or a Sears Catelogue, for that matter.
-9/ WOULD YOU RECOMEND ANY RECENT MOVIE(S)?/WHY?
A:
(The) 'Iron Man' movie series...They are as exciting as the comics and done with really talented actors...Hell, even Scarlett Johanson was vindicated for her lame 'Sin City' role [tho' I like both movies]. I like the new James Bonds, for the same reason..except they are as exciting as the book, y'see.
-10/ WOULD YOU NOT RECOMMEND ANY RECENT MOVIE(S)?/WHY?
A:
Movies made by the J-Team: Julia Roberts, J-lo, Jennifer Anistion & Jessica [Sarah] Parker...lame, chick flicks with no teeth...Thank God we got a guy like Tarantino to give women kick-ass roles, like they had in the 70's [and 60's with Russ Meyers in particular]...women like them [J-Team] gets laughed at in the 'burbs man!...ugh!!!!..That's me..King of the 'Burbs!!!! [laughs]
-11/ HAVE YOU HAD ANY PLEASANT BRUSHES WITH STARDOM? / WHO?
A:
Yeah...The Hills t.v. series on my T.V.!...I actually watched a couple episodes all the way through to understand it..At least Spencer & Heidi showed teeth...They'd make a great B-movie couple...I could hang with Spencer & Heidi..at least I wouldn't be bored...And I really dig Spenny's over the top promo skillz!!!...
If ya wanna know what being a filmmaker is like...check Spenny...he reminds my of my buddy filmmaker/promoter (actor) Lewis Mercer...(that wasn't the question was it..ah, who cares!)
12/ HAVE YOU HAD ANY UNPLEASANT BRUSHES WITH STARDOM?/ WHO?/WHY?
A:
Yeah...a certain (Canadain Horror) magazine said that all of the cast of Reel Zombies (2008) were lame & 'I ' was the only one who was, really [laughs]1
-13/ WHAT IS YOUR NEXT MOVIE PROJECT?
A: None of your fucking business!...(laughs)... Acid Head, officer!(See question #15, friends!)
-14/ WHEN IS IT DUE?
A:
Late 2010..early, 2011, I believe.
-15/ HOW WILL YOUR INVOLVEMENT IN OUR N.O.T.F.F. FESTIVAL HELP YOUR
MOVIE?
A:
PUBLICITY!!!!...Vivita says I'm a publicity-slut ...so oil-up people:
