Synopsis

DVD & ONLINE RENTAL HAS 25 MINS OF BONUS MATERIAL! DIRECTOR’S COMMENTARY: Abra Chouinard on directing style, casting and tips on working in the film industry. CREATURE DESIGN: Chris G. Robinson on concepting and making monsters for movies. Plus much more!

Young Death is a gripping thriller about a young man’s attempt to propose to his girlfriend all the while being hunted by a creature. Things start to unravel for Josh when he accidentally drops the engagement ring box out of his pocket as he is reaching for the mints. Tiffany sees the engagement ring in the grass and assumes he is proposing. Tiffany slips the ring on her finger, stands to admire the diamond, unaware of the creature right over her shoulder.

Director's Statement

Set out to make a thriller not a gore movie because I am fan of build-up, drama and leaving something to the audience's imagination. I wanted to make a cool monster short film and show the behind-the-scenes on how to make creatures.

Filmed at night in a park on a bluff over looking the ocean. Sounds beautiful and at 80 degrees during the day it was until the sun went down and the temperature dropped. It was a cold and windy night but everyone did a great job getting what we needed done!
