The homage and parody of European horror and sci-fi continues in Zombie Atrocity - The Italian Zombie Movie Part 2!

Synopsis

Vicious hordes of the living dead have escaped imprisonment in an old Army landfill. Can our brave (but occasionally naive) heroes combine forces and escape, or will they succumb to their own dated, sexist attitudes and become a flesh feast for the vengeful living dead soldiers?

Picking up the action right where the first movie left-off, Zombie Atrocity - The Italian Zombie Movie Part 2 continues to follow the plights of Bruno, Katriona, Maria, Ruggerro, Saragon and Sarrek, and the Michigan Militia guys as they struggle against the mysterious zombie uprising. What are Dr. Falluci's motives for raising the dead? Who is "The General"? Why has Satan dispatched a Succubus into the mix? Who is the "Local Pervert"? How does the mysterious spaceship figure into all of this? More CONTRIVED plots, more CANNIBALISTIC zombies, more MISOGYNISTIC jokes, more LARGE INTESTINES and oh yes, yet another GRATUITOUS POOH SCENE all await you in this no-budget epic.

Director's Statement

"Zombie Abomination and Zombie Atrocity deliver the goods... In my opinion, no horror fan, or zombie fanatic for that matter, should go without watching these. Verdict: 10/10" - James Burden, Horror Movie Central

"This film is better than some of the big budget campy-style movies I've seen." - Brendan Pelto, owner of The Harbor Theater quoted on GrandHavenTribune.com

"What to expect? Blood and guts. Gore. Severed limbs. Puke... Mutants and perverts, not that there's anything wrong with that." - Bill Iddings, Extra Iddings, The Muskegon Chronicle, mlive.com

"The storyline is extremely epic - I'm salivating for a Part 3 - I really am!" - Corey Graham, The Midnight Podcast

"...the best movie experience of Sunday night was the next feature "The Italian Zombie Movie: Part II Zombie Atrocity."... Kudos to these Michigan movie mavericks. Watching both parts of "The Italian Zombie Movie" makes one realize that it will take countless, repeated viewings for anyone to deconstruct each and every cultural and movie-lore reference encoded into this film... This sensory tome of Berdinski and friends is like encountering the James Joyce of 21st-century cinema: simultaneously mind-boggling, soul-satisfying and compellingly curious... In short, this movie is the Post-Modern face of horror: a movie that both zombifies the senses and makes ones very skeleton giggle with sarcastic glee." - Terrance Aldridge, Independent Journalist/Visual Artist, Reviewer at Summer Tromadance 2009, www.stand-theatre-shelbyville.org

"It was a fun ride I'm sure all zombie lovin' Cinema Wasteland fans will enjoy." - Ken Kish, Cinema Wasteland, www.cinemawasteland.com

Everyone associated with these movies is basically a first-timer.

The crew consisted of Thomas Berdinski (the writer, director, producer, editor, composer, director of photography, sound and lightning designer and occasional bartender), Jill Mikesell (the script supervisor, assistant director and production assistant) and Joseph Tardani (the special effects and make-up effects designer, assistant cameraman and lead zombie in most scenes).

The cast came from a wide variety of backgrounds, but most had only acted in Berdinski's short films until this project. Jeff Bromley, who plays Bruno Deodato, is a former Navy Seal with a number of short films to his credit. Laurie Beckeman plays Maria the Succubus, and has some local TV (and possibly adult film) experience. LaShelle Mikesell plays Katriona. This is her first feature film although she appeared in many of Berdinski's short films in high school. Dan Grams plays Ruggerro. He also appeared in some of Berdinski's short films and built the miniatures in these flicks. Chuck Alderink and Keith Zahn (“the militia guys”) perform in local bands and have appeared in a music video Berdinski directed and produced. Myron Erickson and Terry Madden (“the aliens”) have modeling and local ballet experience, respectively. John Mikesell (Dr. Falluci) has written, directed and appeared in several short films with Berdinski. Sonya Hernandez (Asia the Spy) is a beauty pageant winner and an experienced theater actress appearing in many local productions. This is Jill Mikesell, Dale Ehinger, Caitria Mikesell, Kathy Price and Christy Mack's first feature film experience. Many of the zombies were played Joseph Tardani, his brother Jim Tardani (both Italian, by the way) and by high school friends of director's nephew Josh Halberda. Josh also performed in the band “Insubordination” which wrote some of the music in the films.
