A graphic novel style "Action Zomedy"

Synopsis

Mad Dr. 'D' has the city of Z-Town overrun by Zombies. However, a small band of professional Zombie Fighters is laying waste to these infected un-dead pests. Taunted by the media and hypocrite politicians, The outraged Doctor is aided by his comical sidekick who develops a new Zombie Virus creating a giant super-Zombie. The new creature wreaks havoc on the city destroying the fighters, cars, buildings and even the mayor. But within the fighters and citizen refugees, a special bond is formed, and a secret is revealed that could be the only hope for mankind to stop the monster. 'Zombie Kings: The King of the Zombies' is a story of heroism, loyalty, self sacrifice, giant Zombies, blood and guts, car crashes and explosions, hot chicks, and high flying Jet pack action.

Director's Statement

"The script seemed like a nearly impossible task, I wanted action, blood and guts and guns,
jet packs, explosions, hot actors, and car crashes - all surrounding the heartwarming story of an unlikely hero.

In a lunch meeting with DP Ken Wilson II (Eyeborgs), we went over the script and he said "How the Hell are we gonna do this?"
Production designer Jason Calamusa in another meeting said the script was easily a 90 minute show.
So the project seemed a troubling task seeing that I was limited to a short format,
and a looming deadline.

I went for a fantasy comic book look.
It was important to maintain the humor, action, and the "cool factor".
The response to the final product has been amazing.
I'm extremely proud of the project. The story line is interesting and funny while maintaining some little known Zombie folklore, and the artfulness of the film is rarely matched in this type of low-budget short.
Take almost any High Def frame from the film, and you could print it and frame it.
It looks that good."

"I've never enjoyed making a film as much as I did on this one, everyone on the cast and crew supported the positive vibe
and I think it shows in the film. The deluxe DVD version is packed with special features, and look for T-Shirts, a comic book, a blue Ray version and more. ....Zombie Kings rock."
