Steve Ochs

For about 14 years, including the great comedy boom of the eighties, Steve worked as a touring stand up. Somewhere in that time, Steve was doing a few minutes on a real-life character named Joseph Pujol, better known as Le Pétomane. While performing in Alaska, he was asked after the show if he had read the book on his life...which he hadn't. A short while later, the questioner sent him a copy. After couple of years went by, he had switched to writing professionally and had written a full-length spec script based on the life of Pujol. Not long after a cinematographer friend of his who loved the script, asked me if he could re-construct it as a short. He did. The result is "Le Pétomane: Parti Avec le Vent."
