Lance Mora

Lance Richard Mora began his film career at a very young age while living in Billings, Montana. His creative talent and genuine love of the filmmaking process has resulted in several early productions including KWD-40 News, a spoof on local news broadcasts, a music video for the band Pope Jane, and a short film entitled “Nevous Guard.” Lance gained further knowledge in camera equipment and shooting techniques while working as a photojournalist for a local news station in Billings. Currently, Lance is living in Las Vegas, Nevada and continues to work as a photojournalist for Channel 8. Since his relocation to the Vegas area, Lance has fleshed out one of his many ideas to the screen with his completion of the short film, “Crime Sweepers”. In the tradition of a buddy cop movie, “Crime Sweepers” follows two brooms, Dusty Floors and Tony Danza as they attempt to solve the latest string of murders in the Las Vegas area. The progressive and utterly original film has already landed two film festival wins, including Best Comedy Short in 2008 from the Action on Film Festival and Best Nevada Film in 2009 from the Las Vegas International Film Festival. He is currently filming the sequel “Crime Sweepers 2: Attack of the Broom Witch” due to be completed by the end of 2009. Lance aspires to take the idea of “Crime Sweepers” to network television, perhaps with Comedy Central or Saturday Night Live. Although Lance is a talented director, he also shows amazing ability in writing, storyboarding, and editing to ensure his final vision is realized. His ultimate goal as a filmmaker is to write and create a full-length feature of his original ideas, “Nevous Guard” and “In the Light of the Dying Sun”.
