Chris King

Chris King is an award-winning filmmaker, a television writer/producer/editor, and a screenwriter. He began his film and television studies at California State University, Long Beach. After completing his B.A., he worked at Sony Pictures Entertainment in television as a material researcher and writer. Simultaneously, Chris worked as a freelance scriptwriter-for-hire. He's written feature screenplays that have garnered national attention in The Nicholl Fellowship, the Chesterfield Film Project, Fade In Magazine, and HBO's Project Greenlight. His most recent feature length drama, Touching Down (2005), was awarded numerous festival awards and nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actress, Best First Feature, and the REMI Award at WorldFest 2006. While Chris is interested in the entire movie making process, he considers himself a writer first. He credits his early fascination with character-driven films to the haunting performances in The Deer Hunter and Ordinary People. He resides in Rocklin, California with Co-Producer and wife Heather, and daughter Natalie.
