Matt Thompson

Director/Screenwriter Matt Thompson is an 18-year-old from San Diego, CA who has completed 2 feature films and has been distinguished nationally for his filmmaking endeavors. At 15 he wrote and directed his first feature length film, “The Medallion of Man” that premiered at Ultra Star Cinemas in Del Mar, CA. He’s had experience both in school and the community with directing short films, feature films and theatrical productions. He was one of few selected to attend an intensive three-week film program for top promising teen filmmakers, on scholarship. His latest sci/fi feature film, “Night Sights”, recently won the Jury Award for Best Feature Film at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth 2012. Thompson will attend Loyola Marymount University’s film school as a film production major in fall 2012.
