Michael David Lynch

From his modest beginnings as a film projectionist in his hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan, to his award-winning works in Los Angeles: Michael Lynch has recently been exploding onto the film world. Like every child of the 1980's, Mike has been inspired by films such as "Star Wars" and "Superman" and now as a filmmaker one can find his inspirations translate into his films. Michael Lynch attended film school at Columbia College of Chciago where the institution's eclectic, urban environment inspired the creation of "Burden". Upon graduation, he moved to Los Angeles, CA with his long-time girlfriend Kristine Gregg. Recently, his cinematic work has taken him into political activism as Producer of seven Barack Obama shorts for the inspiration of "Barack: Yes We Can" film series, which have been screened nationwide to enormous acclaim and has been made available through iTunes. In October of 2008 "Help Wanted" won Best Narrative at the Elevate Film Festival where he performed the roles of Producer/Cinematographer. "Help Wanted" was also an Official Selection at the Cinequest Film Festival and San Luis Opisbo International Film Festival, March of 2009. Michael has recently accomplished producing a short entitled "Swerve" starring Shiloh Fernandez, Juno Temple, and Noah Segan. "Swerve" is scheduled to circulate festivals in 2010. Meanwhile in his latest efforts, Michael is in development of his feature adaptation of his award winning short, "Burden".
