Ben E Eld

Ben E. Eld, Actor, director, producer and writer. Born June 25, 1947, on the island Gotland in Sweden. A film enthusiast since early childhood he gained his first production experiences with home movies and graduated from C. Flygare’s Theater School in Stockholm, Sweden 1970. He has appeared in film, stage, radio and television productions, among them the internationally praised Swedish Royal Dramatic Theaters production of George Byshner’s “The Death of Danton” in 1971. In 1976, Eld immigrated to the United States where he produced and directed sports and travel programs for European Television. An explorer by nature, he traveled widely for many years through Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa, North and South America. Eld has worked with such celebrities as Jerry Lewis, Ingmar Bergman and Sven Nykvist (winner of two Oscar’s for best cinematography of Bergman’s “Cries and Whispers“, 1972, and “Fanny and Alexander”, 1983). After a long absence from the film industry researching anthropology, history and philosophy, Eld returned to the motion picture business in 1998 as co-producer and AD of the production of “The Last Semester”, a movie filmed on location in Miami Beach, FL, USA. The 2009 release of “Hedda Gabler“is the first full feature production made on his own production company Aurora Publishing Co. Productions. Eld presently live and work in Orlando, Florida, USA, specializing in low budget film productions.
