Dan Valentine
Dan Valentine was born in Germany in 1967 and emigrated to Australia at the age of two. He has always been interested in theatre, books and music, but circumstances saw him take on careers on a very different path. Dan obatined his commercial pilot's licence at 21 years of age and trained others to fly. He worked in marketing and sales and even the building industry before joining the Victoria Police in 1995 where he still serves. Settling in the country with his wife Lisa was ideal to raise their three daughters and pet spoodle. Dan and Lisa were wise enough to do some world travelling before kids came on the scene, but the travel bug has never left them, and the plans for more are always with them. Dan got into film work in around 2006 when he started to play around with a home handycam his wife wanted for capturing their kids growing up. Dan had a passion for photography prior to discovering his interesting in filmmaking. Now Dan has plenty to keep him active in his spare time filming weddings and other occasions. It was several years ago that Dan became good friends with fellow colleague Tony Kekich. They discovered that they had a lot in common and while watching a travel documentary themselves, decided to film their first adventure together in 2008. They enjoyed it so much, they decided that there would be several more adventures to do. They wanted to create keepsake memories for their children and had the hope that perhaps others would be interested in their adventures as well. Great mates with great families and wonderful support sees them pursuing their dreams. They thank everyone that shared their confidence.
