Award-winning documentary about a lawless town & the song it inspired.
Urban legends warn about an isolated Southern town that’s so rough, the locals ran-off their police department and outsiders fear to tread. A lawless place where pot grows, moonshine flows, and anarchy reigns. To biker/bluesman Big Mike Griffin, Iron City seemed like great material for a song. But first, he must find out for himself if the legends are true.
Pack some heat and join the road-trip in a documentary inspired by "Easy Rider". Join Big Mike rides his Harley deep into Tennessee’s backwoods, along with his 40 caliber, and a cigar-chomping ex-Marine as a guide. You'll meet a collection of unforgettable characters as you witness the creation of a song about the most notorious town in the South.
Welcome to Iron City.... Watch your back.

I just had to watch this. I'm glad I bought the DVD. As a traveller, I love to see new places, and being a cop, I had to see what this lawless town was all about. I don't know that I'd want to work there, but I'd love to visit the place one day. Though I'd keep my private life to myself. The feature is nicely put together. It's hard to fit a lot into 52 mins, but I wanted to see just a bit more of the town itself. Perhaps the locals don't take to kindly to cameras making their way around the place.
