Synopsis

Ofelia is a young Mexican woman who has come to the U.S. to work in the table grape vineyards of central California. Joe is an American schoolteacher supplementing his income by working as a foreman in the same vineyard. Neither speaks the others language, but when their eyes meet they both know instantly that they’ve met the love of their lives. Inspired by the true story of how Ofelia and Joe Bozarth met, "Ofelia and Joe" is a comedic fable about our ability to connect across cultures and the adaptability of the universal language—love.
