Synopsis

"Pose Down" is a dark, offbeat dramedy set in the 90’s in Southwest Florida revolving around three former high school classmates – the bodybuilder, the good ol' boy and the homecoming queen - whose lives become entangled after the airing of a tabloid news program.

"Pose Down" mines the ridiculous with the sublime in this personal tale about a woman’s unraveling life, and her attempt to “pose down” her past in order to look to a better future.

"Pose Down" deals with themes and issues shared by many women struggling for independence and searching for an identity. The film provocatively balances the funny and ironic with the sad and tragic. A thematic structure that can be found in writer/director Erika Yeomans' other award winning short films and videos ("Boo", "Paging Dr. Freud", "Chubby Buddy", "The Forgery", "In Search of Bas Jan's Miraculous").
