Synopsis

"Ripe Strawberries" is a droll period comedy set in an elegant art deco Parisian restaurant. The film introduces Raul Julia as an opportunistic Lothario who is toasting his one-year anniversary with the aging and much married Countess Danielle.

Distracted by an appealing woman seated behind him, our sensual rake cannot resist his lustful impulses and steals a forbidden kiss while Danielle has slipped into the powder room.

Caught in the act, the film’s dénouement features champagne, ripe strawberries and a pearl handle revolver.
