Synopsis

"The Activist" is the story of Michael Sumner, a wealthy corporate lawyer, father to a spoiled son, and husband jaded by a broken marriage who one morning reflects on the idealism and activism of his past.

Cutting between Michael today, going about his morning routine, and Michael from 1970, delivering an impassioned speech to a rally of protesters, the young Michael incites the crowd with a call to action to fight for civil rights and against consumerism, war and greed - issues that are as prominent today as they were in 1970.

As the words of his past reflect his life today, Michael is shaken by the realization that he has become the man he once fought so hard against.

Interesting film. Very good message. I would like to have seen the older version of the man take some sort of action at the end.
