If you want to be a hero, be careful what you wish for.
An elderly retired gentleman, Emmett Deemus, has set out to become an Outlaw Biker Hero on the way to the Big Biker Rally is Sturgis, South Dakota, starting from his home town outside of Boise, Idaho. He's taken along a 19 year old hitchhiker to accompany him on his adventure capturing criminals along the way - obviously an empty pipe dream - but along the way they encounter a stranded motorist who isn't who he seems, and our 2 wanna-be heros have now got to deal with more than they bargained for. But even when they win, they lose.
