In a truly original look at the Holocaust, "The Violin" stars Raviv Ullman (Disney’s "Phil of the Future") as David, a shy 17-year-old music student who falls in love with a girl named Judith in 1944 Hungary. When the Nazis invade’ the two are separated, only to be reunited by fate in a concentration camp.
Though their reunion restores hope in David he struggles with the consequences of their communication and continuing relationship. Their interaction finally gets them in trouble with a Nazi Officer who tests their feelings for each other in horrifying ways.
At every turn David and Judith struggle with the question: What is more important, living your life, or surviving your circumstances?
With genuine human interaction and a familiar love story "The Violin" tells the story of the Holocaust in a rare way – portraying the Jewish characters as active, struggling individuals who despite their horrific circumstances still have to live with their very present emotions.
Raviv Ullman (Phil on Disney’s "Phil of the Future", "Normal Adolescent Behavior", "The Boys of Sunset Ridge", "Driftwood"), and Sarah Drew ("Everwood", "Radio", "Daria") lead the cast of this heartfelt love story set against a horrifying backdrop. They are joined by an exceptionally talented cast including Melora Hardin ("The Office", "Absolute Power") as Gertrude Bloch, and Michael Perl as Jacob.
